I went too long without arting, this popped out. Not planned, just for fun.

There's this part in my novel I'm writing that I'm excited to get to... eventually. But it is a ways off, and after the end of the year where I fixed up how the book is going to go there was this character that finally come together conceptually, symbolically, so forth. So much so that he/she* is now my favorite character. Not even one of the protagonists! What was once a vague earth spirit of some sort is now a Watcher, a protector of the earth, one who is probably not as benevolent as he thinks he is.

AND THIS ISN'T EVEN HIS FINAL FORM! There is another but it wouldn't' fit on the page. So for now let's settle for three. The sword has seven eyes all together, they usually remain closed until 'activated'. I forgot to add the wings on the fire snake, but that would have been too busy so meh.

*Gender is weird, Watchers don't have genders or sexes, but I generally refer to them with male pronouns. However there is the red wolf-dog that he possesses at some point which is female, so then I'm not really sure what to call him/her then. ( Yes, that is Terra for all you long time stalkers who might have seen a pic or two of her posted by me once or twice.)

For a minute I thought the wolf/fox/dog was eating a crow!

Nonetheless it's a pretty neat picture. I like the color choices and the line variation.

Thank you! I had a lot of fun inking. This time I drew the picture on the regular printing size paper and then printed the sketch out really big on some nice tabloid sized paper. It really allowed for more variation and detail.

Eats up more ink though. But much more fun.

Oo, that sounds neat, minus the ink hogging part.
